The Mediterranean Sea has around 3,760 tonnes of plastic floating in its waters.
Currently, plastic makes up 95% of the sea waste that ends up on our beaches.
Almost 50% of all plastic waste in the Mediterranean consists of dumped fishing nets. It is the worst type of waste, as it takes more than 1,000 years to decompose.

They define themselves as plastic fishermen, but their aim goes much further than that, as they transform all the waste they collect into valuable products and, in this way, give it a second life.
